The Sound

I love music.  Always have. I like scouring the web looking for and listening to all the new sounds that artists put out.  I'm constantly amazed by it. Here's what this month sounded like...

***I never ever EVER steal from artists (bands or authors). Everything posted here is either a free download provided by the artist or from my personal music library***

I'm so behind in finding this album/band. But I'm glad I finally did.  CRAFTSPELLS is on tour with one of my favs, THE PAINS OF BEING PURE AT HEART, who also have a new album out. If you're lucky enough to be in one of the towns these guys are visiting, GO. You're in for a treat.

"You Should Close the Door"

Bonus from their site:

"From the Morning Heat"

Damn it, I officially have to get my cassette tape out of the garage... if it's still there somewhere. And it might be because bands like TAPE DECK MOUNTAIN are putting out rad songs on them.

I seem to be seeing SHARK? everywhere lately. I love this guy's voice... apparently other people do too. Their eclectic album "True Waste" dropped May 24th. Check it out.

"Down Low"

Sometimes a girl just needs a little QT! Mine always includes tracks from WASHED OUT. "Within and Without", the new full-length album, is out July 12th, but if the rest of the album is anything like this teaser track, my QT playlist will be happy happy.

"Eyes Be Closed"

Bonus tracks (because I say so)
"Feel it All Around"

TY SEGALL has a new album coming June 21st called "Goodbye Bread" The single that's all over the place at the moment is pretty rad/different from the other things I've heard from him.  Can't wait to hear the rest.

"You Make the Sun Fry"

I have major Justin Vernon crush.  It runs pretty deep.  So when Pitchfork teased us with the new single from BON IVER's upcoming self-titled release, I grabbed it up, and ran to my JV shrine to listen to it over and over again.  *Ahem* This is not stalker-y, I've been waiting for a full length album for faaaar too long.  It's only natural.
