Coming Up...

I went a little nuts this week. In Texas {where I was all week} there are Half Price Books stores, and I always go to this one close to my parent's house to hunt for vinyl. {I found an original press Rolling Stones and a Julian Lennon record this time}  But, I've never hunted for books there. See, I wasn't always such a book fiend; this madness is only recent.  So back to the part where I went a little nuts... I found the Sci-Fantasy section in HPB!  Look at all the great books I found:

And to add to the insanity, I've recently found the "SWAP" section of Goodreads.  So addictive!  These were my finds this week from that:

...apparently I went a little mad with the beef-cake covers. Here's what's happening:

Reviewing:
Night Shift by Lilith Saintcrow and Doubleblind by Ann Aguirre

Reading:
I'm currently reading Daughter of the Forest by Juliet Marillier for my local book club on Wednesday.  This is my literary twin Carrie's all-time favorite book she reads once a year and I'm so excited that I'm finally reading it.  Next up to read is an ARC of Kim Harrison's Pale Demon. I can't wait!

News and More:
I'll be trying to update some things on the site this week since I'm really bad about that.  If you see something completely fubar give me a shout.  OR if you have suggestions on something you'd like to see that I don't do, email me.

I'll be announcing December's virtual book club selection this week, and I think this is going to be a great book.

That's all for now. I hope you all have a great week!

  1. Jason has been trying to get me to read Christopher Moore for ages because his co-worker told him I should. No, he is not swayed by peer pressure at all @-@. I can't wait to see what you think about it...although seeing how much your to-read pile has grown this week, you may only actually get to it in February! lol Great lot Jess!
