Coming Up...

Apologies for not having a "coming up" post for you last Sunday.  My mother flew into town last Wednesday and we went to Palm Springs for the weekend, and she has no internet access at her place *gasp*  It was actually really nice to get away, and just hottub (yes I'm using "hottub" as a verb), play tennis, swim, cook and watch movies.  I was extremely tempted to just stay the week there with her. But I only had 2 books with me! Instead I came home and spent the week hounding for a job, and then shopping for outfits for said future job.

Monday was Valentine's Day.  Mike and I went out for pizza slices (because we're such the romantics) and we finally checked Toronado's, this local brew house that we've been hearing about. The place was so awesome, and they featured $3 local brews on Mondays.  So it was great to sample some of the amazing beers that San Diego brewing companies have to offer. My beer of choice that night was called "My bloody Valentine" by AleSmith Brewing Co.  It was a strong amber ale, and very very tasty.  For 2 people that don't celebrate Valentine's Day we had an awesome time out.

The rest of the week was pretty mellow here, just stressing about the fact that there are so few good jobs out there. I'll be continued to hunt this week, so please keep your fingers crossed for me.  Here's what else is coming up...

  1. Glad you had such a good time with your family and I'm sure that some away time was very nice! Can't wait to read some more reviews on some books I haven't read or heard about yet so I'll keep my eyes peeled for that! Good luck with the job hunting Jess, try not to stress about it too much I know something will work out! :-)

  2. I am very curious about First Grave... Of course, you'll get to it first. I'm anxious to see what you thought. And of course, I'm wondering how you found Backstage Pass. ;)
