Behind The Pen: with 1/2 of Cat Adams (+Giveaway)

I love interviews but I find the artists behind the stories equally intriguing, and I think they deserve as much limelight as their characters.  So here instead of a list of questions about the story, the plot, or the characters, I ask authors the same 11 questions about themselves and hopefully get a glimpse behind the pen...

I've read and loved the Blood Singer series by Cat Adams. The series is filled with vibrant characters and un-guessable plots. So naturally I began to wonder "Who are these brilliant writers?"  "What are they like?" I was thrilled when they agreed to answer my questionnaire.

CT Adams here 1/2 of the infamous writing duo of CT Adams and Cathy Clamp a/k/a Cat Adams.  Cathy is in the throes of editing the NEXT Celia Graves book, so I'm doing the duties.

Q1: What is the last book you read?
Just re-read From Dead to Worse by Charlaine Harris.
Q2: If you were stuck on a desert island, what book would you like to have with you?
Turn Coat by Jim Butcher.
Q3: What is your favorite swear word?
I've heard that the last word on the "black box" after most airplane crashes, and the last recorded word before most major accidents where such things are recorded is "Shit."  I have to admit it's the swear word I use most.
Q4: What is your biggest pet-peeve?
People who practically ignore the live person with them in favor of talkking, texting, or playing games on their cell phone.
Q5: What quality do you most like in a man?
The ability to be sexy and still not take it (or himself) seriously.  (Think George Clooney)
Q6: What quality do you most like in a woman?
Integrity.
Q7: What profession, other than your own, would you like to attempt?
I'm not sure.  Can I opt for being independently wealthy?
Q8: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
My old house on Ames Street.  It had its problems but I loved that place.  Give me unlimited money and I'd probably still buy it back, even though it is small and (for Denver) modestly priced.
Q9: What inspires you?
Life in all it's insane, humorous, glorious, beauty and tragedy.
Q10: If you could be one person (dead or alive) for a day who would you be?
I've worked very hard to become the person I am, so I wouldn't want to trade personalities, but if you wouldn't mind giving me the body of  . . . . say, Catherine Zeta Jones, or maybe Penelope Cruz . . .
Q11: Mac or PC?
PC.

  2. I have to agree with being annoyed at people who are to busy texting or talking on the phone to pay attention to the people around them. A local pizzeria has a sign "If you're on the phone we won't wait on you."

  4. Same here about the texters! Technology has made it so easy for people to become super rude and think nothing of it. (Also agree on The Clooney- I may have superimposed his head over my husband's in a picture of us, then made it his wallpaper.)

  10. I enjoyed the interview, and I agree, people who constantly talk on the phone, text or play games while their with people are annoying. I really think people who go to the store and talk on the phone while checking out are especially rude.
