This Month's Sound

I love music.  Always have. I like scouring the net looking for and listening to all the new sounds that artists put out.  I'm constantly amazed by it.  Here are some tunes I've been listening to this month...

**I never ever EVER steal from artists (bands or authors).  Everything posted here was either a free download provided by the band or from my personal music library.**

I found a new band to have major girl crush on.  They're called SUPER WILD HORSES.  They're from Melbourne, Australia and they totally rock.  I just love their unique voices when they blend together.  Here are a few tracks from them.

"Golden Town"

"Mess Around"

"What Started the Noise"

Did you know that TV ON THE RADIO has a new album coming out in April called Nine Types of Light? No?  Here's a track for you.

"Caffeinated Consciousness"

Bonus from their site:
"Will Do"
TV On The Radio - "Will Do" by Interscope Records

Pitchfork released a couple of tracks from The Weeknd's album House of Balloons after giving their "mix tape" an 8.5  The tracks are pretty new to me, but I find them interesting all the same.  Here's a sample of one.  If you like you can download the album for free by linking through above.

"House of Balloons"

I haven't heard of anything from YACHT since their 2009 album See Mystery Lights, so when I saw that Gimme Tinnitus posted a single from their upcoming summer release Shangri-la, I snatched it up. Beware!  Your toes will be a tappin'. Makes me so excited for the summer.

"Dystopia"

A very good friend of mine turned me on to MOON DUO and in turn WOODEN SHJIPS  a year or so ago, and I fell in love with both band's psychedelic sound.  I noticed that Moon Duo has a new album, Mazes out this month.  I haven't heard the whole album yet, but here's a new track (which sounds totally new/different...and I think I like it!)

"When You Cut"

One of the indie pop bands I watch, The DODOS released their latest album No Color recently, and for me it feels like a return to their original sound on their first album Visiter.... only fresher.  Here are a couple new tracks.

"Don't Stop"

"Black Night"
