Coming Up...

*PHEEW*  I am officially moved in to our new house, albeit we're dodging cardboard boxes, when we make our way to the kitchen, but we're here and I can finally catch my breath. Apologies for being slow on responding to comments and for the lack of web/email/twitter presence the past week+. I hope this week will be back to normal -if that's ever possible.

I can't believe that we have a little over a week left until the release of Shadowfever! I have had my hardback on order since last Spring, but you better believe that if my copy is not on my doorstep on Jan 18th, that I'll be downloading the e-version on my handy ipad. (Yes, I am that much of a junkie)  So, I'll be re-reading Dreamfever to prepare for this momentous event, and so that I can participate in the discussion hosted by SmexyBooks, this coming Thursday the 13th.  I had so much fun at  FictionVixen's Faefever chat; I learned so much.  So today I cracked open Dreamfever... I wonder if I'll get nothing done until I finish it, like I did they last time I read it?

Here's what else is happening

Books In:

Kristin, my friend who runs MyBookishWays, is a huge Jaye Wells fan.  I've seen the books out there for a while, but for a million reasons have never actually cracked one open.  Well that's changing soon.  Kristin sent me one of her extra copies of Red-Head Stepchild {didn't I say she was ubber-fan} and I can't wait to start it.

I found a copy of Vicious Circle by Linda Robertson on Goodreads Swap. And I've been neglecting my local bookstore, Mysterious Galaxy, so I had to show them some love this week. I purchased Killbox by Ann Aguirre and Black Wings by Christina Henry.

Reading:
I start my re-read of Dreamfever by Karen Marie Moning today. I'll be reading Tracking the Tempest and Tempest Legacy by Nicole Peeler this week as well.

Reviewing:
Fantasy Lover by Sherrilyn Kenyon and Friday Night Bites & Twice Bitten by Chloe Neill

What are you getting into this week?

  1. Congrats on completing the move! And now for the task of...UNPACKING!! Sometimes that can be the funnest part of all ("yay, an opportunity to start anew!"), and sometimes, not so much ("oh my gosh we have to figure out where to put all this stuff?!?"). I hope it's the former. ^_^

Man, this wait for Shadowfever has been soooo long. Thank goodness the freakin' wait it over. I thought I'd lose my mind when the delay to Jan. 18 was announced. Looking forward to chattin' on the book come the 18th (and not a moment later, lol)! ^__^

  2. Alisha: Thanks! It's great to finally be in. And we had a massive garage sale yesterday so starting fresh is exactly what we're doing.

I wait to chat SF with you too!

  3. Glad the dust has finally settled! I may physically attack someone if my copy doesn't show up on the 18th.

  8. You've been busy! :) I think you will enjoy Red-Headed Step Child. :) I did. And I can't wait to get into the next book, which I have here on the shelf. :)

Aaaa, I hear the dodging boxes thing. ;) We still have loads in the other house and have to get it up here, just don't want to in this crazy winter weather we're having. :)

Hope you love the new place!
