Coming Up...

This past week has been a little uneven. I think its finally hit me that I can't just hop on my cruiser and bike to my girlfriends' houses. {which use to be down the street} But then on the other hand, I'm starting to really fall in love with my neighborhood.  We had breakfast at this amazing local cafe Cardomom, who make all their own bread and buy local produce etc. We also went to our local farmer's market for the first time because it was GORGEOUS here on Thursday and I really loved the purveyors.  Came home with heirloom tomatoes, beets, navel & blood oranges, and local goat cheese.  So there's one part of me that was like a kid in a candy store {or a book-y in a bookstore} and another part that was a little sad this week.  But I've made it through. LOL

Obviously, this week is going to be a HUGE Urban Fantasy/Barrons week. Shadowfever releases on Tuesday finally, and I've already explained to the hubs not to expect much anything from me until I finish the book.  He's cool.  He remembers when Dreamfever came out.  So starting on Tuesday I'll be pretty quiet until it's done.  {I'm going to try and read slowly ha!}  But here's what else is coming up...

Shadowfever by Karen Marie Moning and Red Headed Stephchild by Jaye Wells

Since life got in the way at the end of last week I still need to review Twice Bitten by Chloe Neill.  Plus Tracking The Tempest and Tempest Legacy by Nicole Peeler

Books in:
Slow week on the book buying front *gasp* I didn't buy a single book.  But, don't fret my obsession wasn't spared.  I was lent the first 6 books in the Morganville Vampires series from Rachel Caine and Book #2 in the Night Huntress series, One Foot in the Grave by Jeannie Frost, because I'm sworn that the series is worth a second look.

Giveaway Fun:
Thursday you'll want to make sure because I have a brilliant funny post planned that will include a giveaway, but it's top secret for now.

  1. You know, Denton has a farmer's market...we'll have to grab the kids and go when the weather is nice! Shame on you for not buying a single book;) I only bought 1 yesterday on the B&N trip...I'm insanely proud of myself:-D

  2. Glad to hear things are coming along. I can't believe Shadowfever week is upon us. I don't think I'm going to get my book on the 18th. As long as I get it sometime next week I'll be fine...or someone is getting beat up! The Morganville Vamps are a pretty good read.

  3. Kristin: I LOVE the farmers market. It's a little expensive, but the veggies are amazing!

    Jen: Shadowfever tomorrow!

  4. Oh, I'm crossing my fingers that you like Cat & Bones. And Shadowfever WOOOOOOT!!!

  5. Julie: Oh, I liked them but it was a little FOYD in the first book ;)
